I was born and raised in Melbourne and love getting my feet dirty in other countries. I live in Edinburgh, Scotland, and try to see as much of Europe as my bank account permits. I can’t stand the taste of coffee, but I drink copious amounts of tea.
I’m a school librarian and I love what I do. In Melbourne, I worked at an academic library and a public library simultaneously, getting the best of both worlds. I then had a stint as a poetry librarian, getting to grips with some of the most beautiful and profound verse in a particularly specialist collection. Surrounded by books and learning all day – living the dream.
I could talk all day about Jane Austen, the Brontes’, children’s literature, and various historical periods.
I am a proud Literacy Ambassador for the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation, and also edit (and occasionally contribute to) their journal, Pride & Possibilities. I have written several manuscripts in various stages of the editing process. Talk to me. I like people.
